1. Applying hair color on dirty hair makes the new hair color last longer.

Contrary to popular opinion, it’s actually better and more efficient to apply hair color on dirty hair rather than on clean hair. It’s because the pigments last longer when it’s applied on a dirtier and messier platform. Next time you go to the salon, let the hairstylists apply the hair color immediately and don’t let them shampoo your hair before application starts so that you can spend longer time with your new hair color!

2. It’s possible to swim with hair extensions.

Don’t get scared of swimming or doing any water-related activity just because you have hair extensions. Hair extensions are actually durable, they’re not easy to detach from your hair even when there are dire wind and water situations. Not only does it look natural, it also doesn’t fall of when you are swimming or bathing. Have no worries about hair extensions, they’re just like your hair only better.

3. Less is more when using shampoo.

Sometimes in life, less is more. This is also applicable when applying shampoo on your hair. Don’t use too much shampoo because it’s unhealthy and strips your hair of nutrients instead of providing them. The recommended amount of shampoo to use in bath is three coin-sized drops if you have shoulder-length hair. Of course, you can use more than that if your hair is longer or thicker than the norm. Also, remember to take only one bath per day – or if you do insist on taking more than one baths per day, shampoo your hair only once.

4. Hair is strong – a full head can support two elephants!

The hair is strong. It’s not advisable that you try to use your hair to support two elephants but it is scientifically proven that it can do so. A strand of hair is also as strong as an iron wire and we all know that iron is a strong element. Despite its fragile appearance, the hair is deceivingly strong. In fact, it may be stronger than most parts of your body!

5. It’s normal to shed hair daily.

Every day, it’s normal to shed at least 25 to 40 strands of hair. That’s why if you see hair lying around on the floor; don’t immediately categorize it as hair loss or as a sign that you’ll eventually be bald. It’s natural for the hair to shed daily because these strands of hair that shed will regrow to produce healthier hair. In fact, be more worried if your hair doesn’t shed at all, it may be a sign of a disease or something along those lines.
